This is the information I got off Facebook regarding the 1979 reunion....Kim Hinkle
Hi this is Rick Hyman; I know a lot of you but not all. Wanted to let everyone know a few members of the class are organizing a 30th year reunion the weekend of October 17. Tucker Baldwin Murphy, who is in this Facebook group, started organizing it with Laura Dickey (who I don’t think is in the group yet). Randy Caravella is helping, tool. Thanks to all of you for doing this.
Here's how everyone else can help. Please invite everyone you keep in touch with to attend. I know there are a number or others from our class that use Facebook that are not in the class group yet. If you can let them know about the reunion and invite them to join the group; you can send them the group address at:

If you can pass all of this on to all old GHS friends, and ask them to do the same, too, that would give Tucker, Laura and Randy a great head start. Feel free to write me on fb or at

If anyone is a paying user of classmates.com or other alum sites (I'm not), please pass this info on there, also.
I personally missed the last reunion but I plan on making this one. Thanks again Randy, Tucker and Laura for volunteering to start it all off. Anyone else who wants to volunteer, I'm sure they'd appreciate it. Hope to see you all in October. Rick
PS: Can it possibly be 30 years? I have 4 kids; one a freshman at the University of Georgia and another heading there next year. Were we actually that age back then? Take away their iPods, Xboxs, Blackberries, blogs, laptops, and dare I say, their Facebook accounts... and that was... us. Oh my god, I turned into my parents!
